Meet Mike Magnanti – Candidate for NC GOP Vice Chair

I’m happily married to my wonderful wife of 14 years, Dr. Leslie Magnanti, a dedicated educator with a Doctorate in Education.

Together, we have five amazing children—ages 23, 20, 17, 12, and 10—who make us proud every day.

I began my career in the restaurant industry, dedicating 26 years to hospitality and leadership. My last position was as the owner of the Carrabba's Italian Grill in Durham, NC, where I honed my skills in management and community engagement.

I grew up on Long Island, where I served as a volunteer firefighter for six years. Afterward, I moved to Southeast Florida, where I lived for about 15 years. During that time, I was actively involved in the Palm Beach County Young Republicans, serving as the Political Activities Chair during the 2000 election's hanging-chad debacle.

In 2005, my family moved to Huntersville, NC. By 2010, I had relocated to Oxford, NC, where I currently reside with Leslie and our two youngest daughters.
